Since 1995, Subiksha has empowered thousands of families across Tamil Nadu through community-led development, ecological restoration, and spiritual revival. Our work spans disaster recovery, microfinance, organic agriculture, and womenโs leadership.
With support from Aide et Action and the European Commission, Subiksha led tsunami recovery efforts in Cuddalore District. We restored water bodies, desalinated land, cleared debris, and trained communities in disaster preparedness.
In partnership with NABARD, Subiksha implemented watershed projects in Annamangalam covering 1259 Ha. Activities included field bunds, farm ponds, agroforestry, and water conservation structures that transformed uncultivable land into fertile fields.
Through Mahalir Thittam and our own initiatives, weโve trained thousands of women in leadership, bookkeeping, enterprise development, and social activism. Our SHGs are now self-sustaining units driving village-level change.
Subiksha Trust is building the Gomadha Temple and Adithi Maiyam to create a space for spiritual rejuvenation, cow protection, and organic farming. This initiative blends tradition with sustainability and community care.
