Subiksha Rural Development Society, founded in 1995 by Gandhian development professionals, is a leading nonprofit in Tamil Nadu. We work across four districts to uplift rural communities through SHGs, farmer groups, youth empowerment, ecological restoration, and spiritual revival.

From its inception in 1995, Subiksha has grown through partnerships with TNWDC, CAPART, NABARD, AeA, and EU. Key milestones include:

  • Participation in Mahalir Thittam since 2000
  • Disaster-proofing projects in tsunami-affected villages
  • Watershed development in Annamangalam with NABARD
  • Integrated development in Sathamangalam village
  • Women empowerment across 134 villages with Italian funding
